Woodland Work
I started my journey into woodwork and nature based wellbeing through volunteering at West Ruggers Green, helping with their sustainable woodland management. I learned about charcoal making here amongst many other things.
I have also learned woodland skills including using a chainsaw at Voltaire’s Wood, a neighbouring woodland near Nailsworth, Gloucestershire. Both woodlands offer various opportunities for the public.
Woodland Makers
I was incredibly fortunate to spend 2 seasons (2021 & 2022) assisting at Woodland Makers, based at Brookhouse Woods, which was set up by Mike Abbott. I’ve also helped at Bowl Gathering festivals here.

Cotswolds National Landscape
Rosie is proud to be a tutor for Cotswolds National Landscape on their Rural Skills programme.
Through this she offers a range of spoon carving experiences, including collaborations with other instructors.
